FC Basel 1893 signs Danique Stein as new coach for the AXA Women's Super League team. The 35-year-old signs a three-year contract. Stein replaces Omar Adlani, who was fired at the end of last season. Adlani was responsible for a costly mistake in the playoffs, which led to the Baslerinnen's quarterfinal exit against St.Gallen. With Danique Stein, a well-known Baslerin, takes over the women's team. Between 2011 and 2017, the former Swiss national player played over 100 games for Rotblau and won the Swiss Cup with FC Basel. Later, she was active as head coach of the Fanion team (2021/2022) and in the youth sector. The AWSL clubs' summer transfers will be announced in the coming days.
