FC Basel has to part ways with Dominik Schmid, who transfers to Red Bull Salzburg. The 28-year-old left-back has signed a contract until June 30, 2030. Schmid brings a wealth of experience, having made 134 appearances for FC Basel, where he also served as vice-captain. During his time at FC Basel, he won two league titles and one cup. Schmid has also played for other Swiss clubs, including Grasshoppers, FC Wil, and Lausanne-Sport. His skills as a defender and offensive spirit will be valued at Red Bull Salzburg. He will wear the number 31 jersey in the upcoming season.
