FC Basel has announced two significant departures, as defender Finn van Breemen and Dion Kacuri leave the club. After three years at FC Basel, 23-year-old Dutchman Finn van Breemen is moving to the Portuguese top-flight club Famalicao. Last season, van Breemen was limited to just one part of the Super League matches due to injuries. His contract with FC Basel had another year left, but the transfer details were not disclosed. Dion Kacuri is also leaving FC Basel. The 22-year-old is moving on loan to Austria Lustenau, who also have a purchase option. Kacuri had joined FC Basel from Grasshoppers in early 2024 but never established himself as a regular starter. After half a year, he was loaned to Yverdon before appearing in seven Super League matches last season. These transfers mark another shift in FC Basel's squad and reflect the club's efforts to restructure for the upcoming season.
