FC Basel has bolstered its attacking lineup by acquiring 20-year-old winger Aaron Malouda (20), the son of former French international Florent Malouda. The young player signs until 2030 and will immediately become an important asset to the team with his speed, creativity, and versatile offensive play. Aaron Malouda has already showcased his talents in the youth academies of Lyon, Stade Rennais, and Lille and made his debut in Ligue 1 in 2023. During the 2022/23 season, he played for the Azerbaijani champions Sabah FK, where he scored nine goals and provided four assists to help win a title.

Andreas Herrmann, Technical Director at FC Basel, states: «With Aaron Malouda, we strengthen our offensive line with a tricky, versatile, and multi-faceted winger.»

Soticek on Loan to Split

Conversely, 21-year-old midfielder Marin Soticek is temporarily transferred to his home country of Croatia. He signs with Hajduk Split, where the Croatian vice-champion secures an option for a permanent transfer.

Marin Soticek joined FC Basel from NK Lokomotiva in 2024 and has made 70 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists. With FC Basel, he won the double in 2025.

These two transactions not only strengthen the FC Basel squad in different positions but also offer the club flexibility in its roster management.
