The summer transfer window is in full swing and so is the transfer carousel in Switzerland. FC Basel is busy strengthening its squad for the upcoming season while also seeing some of its homegrown talents move on. Here are the key transfers:

Aaron Malouda: A Talented Young Player with a Famous Father

The 20-year-old Aaron Malouda, son of former French international Florent Malouda, has joined FC Basel. After playing in the youth teams of Lyon, Stade Rennais and Lille, he made his debut in Ligue 1 for LOSC last year. In the previous season, the winger scored nine goals and provided four assists for the Azerbaijani champions Sabah FK.

Agon Rexhaj: A Rising Talent from Luzern

The 19-year-old Agon Rexhaj, trained at FC Luzern, has moved to FC Wil. The U19 international (five caps) has played in the Super League and two test matches for the first team.

Simon Simoni: An Emerging Defender

Simon Simoni, a 22-year-old Albanian from Eintracht Frankfurt, is joining FC Luzern. He previously played for the second teams of Eintracht and Kaiserslautern.

Tim Meyer: A Move to France?

The 22-year-old Tim Meyer, an Eigenprodukt von Grasshoppers, could be heading to France with Auxerre showing interest in his services.

Other Swiss Clubs

Young Boys are sending Michi Frey back to Belgium and bringing Aaron Malouda on board. FC Luzern has signed Simon Simoni while FC St. Gallen is welcoming Andrin Hunziker from Basel.

Departures: Bedia and Seiler

Chris Bedia is returning to Union Berlin, whereas Mats Seiler is moving to FC Thun.

FC Basel has secured Coleen Louis (21) and Jonas Harder (20) on long-term deals. Additionally, Nassim Zoukit (25), who previously played for FC Aarau, will strengthen the squad.

Yann Sommer: Back to Belgium

At 37 years old, Yann Sommer is returning to Belgian football with Club Brügge, where he won two Scudettos with Inter Milan. He has signed a contract until 2029.
